Chapter 6

Blurred Lines

What would you do once its gone.  you would still have the memory of it but you would no longer have to see it every time you closed your eyes.  How long do you think your body would sleep for, would you wish to dream again.
__

The door to my room crashed open with the Trevenant standing onto the other side with its three wooden pincer like fingers embedded in the door.

"The base location, NOW" it screamed

"Something happen cause you seem angry" I said as I looked up, blood slowly running down my face and onto my nose.

"Three PRT members have been captured trying to help four kids," she said angrily, "Now give me a location"

"Lets make another deal" I said calmly back

"A deal," she screamed, "What more do you want"

I slowly looked around the room before speaking.

"You know being in this room for over three months gives a pokemon time to think.  You see your little group and the, Pokextinction group, as you call them are similar..." I got cut off mid sentence.

"We are not the same" It screamed angrily, storming into the room

"Let me finish," I snarled, "You are the same, building your little army's but there is one difference.  Your group, Pokeumans, are just trying to hide and live in a so called peace while the Pokextinction group I was with seems to be out to control everything and rule over everything destroying everything on the way.  If they cant control it they try and kill it"

"Nice speech but you still haven't told me what you want" it screamed as it slammed its claw into the end of the bed destroying it and sending the remains to the floor.

"The first thing is I want this last image in my head gone, the second, I want to remove that base" I finished

The Trevenant stood there frozen in place unable to understand what I just said, it took almost a hour before she spoke.

"So let me get this straight, you want to help us now, after helping them for how many years" she said in a shocked voice

"Help is the wrong word," I paused, "I want to tear that pit, that hole apart until there is nothing left and your going to help"

"By why?" It asked

"As you take away this dream of mine I have been seeing things clearer.  Let me put it in short, they will try and kill me now that they know they cant control me so I need to kill them" I said slowly and calmly

"We don't kill other Pokeumans," it said softly, "A Pokehuman should never kill another Pokeuman"

"Let me correct you, your a mon with humanity which makes you a Pokeuman.  I'm a mon without the Humanity"

"You can destroy it once we get ours them out" It said as it looked directly into my eyes.

The Trevenant eyes where stern and unwavering, I knew at that split second that there was no way to change that point of the deal so I nodded in agreement watching as the blood dripped off my nose and onto the ground. The Trevenant left the room closing the door behind itself with less violence this time leaving me alone to try and clean myself up.  By the time it returned with the Drowzee I had done a rough job but I had no time to continue as it was demanding action right there and then.

The last part of the dream, I could remember every detail about that revolver.  It was polished silver with the words 'Merwin and Hulbert' written on the side of the barrel, the etching of a bird was positioned just above the pearl grip. 'Calibre Winchester 1873' was written just under the cylinder because I never slept I know what it was, a Merwin and Hulbert factory engraved AH3440.

"Wake up" was the screams that woke me up from my dreamless sleep, the first one I ever had.

I pushed myself up off the floor and found my bounds removed from my hands but I could still feel them on my ears.

"Location" was the next words.

"South, fifty three degrees, six point, twenty one minutes by, East seventy three degrees, thirty one point, twenty two minutes," I replied with a smile, "Mawson Peak"

"How do we get there?" asked the Drowzee

"The Pokextinction group always has a PAK TA at the Leda Nature Reserve," I said back, "and a Ghost down on the Dawsons at the Harding River"

"A what and a what?" the Trevenant questioned with the most puzzled look.

"Supersonic transport and a stealth ship, can we go and can I get these off my ears" I said back

"When we are outside, and we have to protect the location of this base so" it said as it pulled out a blindfold and some plugs for my nose.

"South, twenty two degrees, fifteen points, forty point nine minutes by East, one hundred and seventeen degrees, fifty eight points, fifty five point nine minutes,"  I paused with a massive smile stretched across my face, "I had a lot of time and they know about this base. All I had to do was smell the water, shouldn't get your water from outside"

"Um, well um" the Drowzee said

"Lets go" I said as I walked to the door.

It took a couple of seconds for the Trevenant to turn around and open the door walking out with me in tow.  We walked down bland colourless corridors then without warning a small alarm rang out throughout the base, small kids both full Pokeuman and half Pokémon, half Human ran out of rooms on either side of the corridor yelling and screaming in happiness before quieting down as they walked in front of the Trevenant.  The words ma'am and miss where thrown around as the walked past making sure they didn't bump into her but there reaction to me was different to that.  Some would take a wide berth around me while others would throw there shoulders into me but they all carried an angry stare that if it was a solid object it would pierce through me and half the base.  I grabbed one of the tails on a Tauros that slammed one of its horns into me and hissed loudly at him, his eyes opened widely when he looked back at me.

"Respect," I said softly, "Respect"

"Why should I respect someone like you, your Pokextinction" he squeaked back

"I was a lot of things but the fact that I'm standing here with one of your tails in my hand and nobody is doing anything about it must mean something in that brain of yours" I said back

"Let him go" the Trevanant shouted over her shoulder.

What would you do once its gone.  you would still have the memory of it but you would no longer have to see it every time you closed your eyes.  How long do you think your body would sleep for, would you wish to dream again.
